Bedding

Elizabeth Allen Atelier is a collection unlike any other: sophisticated yet fuss-free, sensuous yet fresh. The distinctive prints, unexpected use of color and meticulous attention to detail appeal to customers who put their personal style first. The fabrics are wonderfully soft and inviting, beyond their appearance. The unique color palette lends a soupcon of fashion, while the French-inspired design creates a timeless allure that bypasses trends. The esthetic is so versatile that the same print looks elegant on a king bed and pretty in a crib. Prints can be piled high in a jumble of florals and stripes or subdued with solid textures. 300 tc cotton sateen sheets and quilted coverlets envelope the bed in a cozy harmony while the solid herringbones offer a more tailored and sober appeal. Cotton velvet is ultra sumptuous, both in rich solid tones and yummy stripes, and adds the perfect dollop of luxury. The possible combinations are nearly endless because the duvets, shams and pillows are reversible and many, many prints work together. Dress your bed to the max or keep it spare; either way make it your own and sleep tight.

Our 100% combed cotton percale is woven and printed in India with European dyes that are free of the chemical Aso (allowed in the USA but banned there). The costly and time-consuming "reactive" dying process creates the richest color saturation and strongest resistance to fading. The fabrics are washed again and again to a light and luxurious softness before landing in the US where the collection is sewn piece by piece in NYC and LA with the utmost of care and precision.

Bebe

Our fanciful and sophisticated baby bedding is available in all of our super soft percale prints as well as in luscious velvets and herringbones. Bumpers, pillows and puffs are offered in our unique print combinations (for the baby with panache) and topped off with French cotton trim or herringbone piping. Skirts and sheets come in all of the stripes and small repeat prints but, if you have had enough of prints, tone it down with solid 300 TC sateen or herringbone. Our smocked bumpers are all the rage and promise to add that je ne sais quoi factor to your baby's room. Tailor our bedding to fit your style-- outrageously creative, subtly sweet or "manly, but I like it too".

And everything is machine washable to boot!

Au Natural

Introducing EAA Au Naturel, our new eco-sensitive collection. Our percale patterns have always been printed with low-impact European dyes but this collection does one better—it is made with certified 100% organic cotton, grown without the use of toxic chemicals or harmful pesticides. It bears the Oeko-Tex stamp of quality, today’s highest standard of organic textile certification. The fabric is also tinted with low-impact dyes and is not treated with harsh finishing products. We applied our finesse with dressmaker details to create a line that is both sophisticated and casual. The sheets and cases have intricate bands of “twistpleats” that run across the cuffs of flat sheets and pillowcases or vertically on the euro shams. While they appear delicate, they are deceptively sturdy and become more luxurious with each washing. The finished dimensions are generous, built to accommodate today's plump mattresses. The flat and fitted sheets are packaged separately for those who sleep "European style", ie without a top sheet. Do something good for the environment and good for yourself: indulge in this truly contemporary collection.

We went a bit “Couture” with organic batiste, a billowy cotton fabric in soft shades of dusk, pool and celery. Shams and pillows are hand stitched by our home sewers in Tennessee into a design we call “hand-puckers”. It is similar to our smocking but without any visible stitching, rendering a lovely soft texture that contrasts nicely with the rigor of the twistpleats.

For those who want to get cozy, we have organic herringbone and sherpa fleece blankets and pillows. They are exquisitely soft and especially scrumptious for babies.

We went a bit rustic with heavy Tussah silk pillows and throws that add a touch of sleek earthiness. Silk is organic by design since the fiber comes from a worm (they prefer not to use any pesticides!) and this oatmeal color is its natural state. When you mix up all these elements, adding hints of color, lots of texture and varied attitudes, you have a thoroughly modern bed.
